Georgia Lobbying Team
Tony Simon began his legislative work over 11 years ago as the Field Director of the Senate Minority Caucus in Georgia. He played a central role in helping Republicans reach a majority status in November of 2002 and earned the title of Executive Director of the Senate Majority Caucus in early 2003. Simon spent the next two years in both a policy and political role at the Georgia Capitol – eventually helping the GOP caucus reach an overwhelming working majority.
Following his work with the Senate he accepted a position with the Speaker of the Georgia House of Representatives and went on to work as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Speaker and senior advisor to the House Majority Caucus. In those two capacities, he played a key role in shaping and passing leadership’s legislative priorities while also guiding House leadership’s most important political priorities and campaigns to victory. Outside of Georgia, Simon has served as a consultant to numerous legislative campaigns, state parties as well as the Republican Governors Association.
Tony currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Jessica and two daughters Mary Grace & Chandler and is very involved in the Buckhead community. As an active member of Northside United Methodist Church, Believe in Me Foundation, Cherokee Town Club and The Discipline de Bordeaux – Tony keeps his hours outside of the Capitol full and productive.
